Classical Ballet Technique Level IV
Students who have advanced and are placed in the Advanced Levels have shown mastery in basic technical elements and skills and have demonstrated a commitment and desire to continue to develop in excellence and artistic expression. Students continue to expand their movement vocabulary to include multiple turns,
increased flexibility and strength, and continue to work on complex combinations that work toward developing a more rounded dancer in technical and artistic skill. Students at the Advanced level are evaluated for and introduced to Pointe shoes when their muscular development indicates that they are strong enough to support their weight in the shoes. Students in the Advanced classes are given more opportunities to develop through performance and worship in local venues and with professional dancers.
Advanced Level classes require a minimum of 5 hours/week of instruction time.
